Vice President, Strategy and Commercial
Dan Clark is the Vice President, Strategy and Commercial, for ConocoPhillips Alaska. His primary responsibilities include coordination of the ConocoPhillips Alaska budget and the economic evaluation of major projects, as well as the AKLNG project and Cook Inlet operations.
Dan began his career with Conoco in 1988 and has filled various engineering, operational, and commercial assignments related to the company’s natural gas gathering and processing activities in multiple lower 48 states locations. In 2001, Dan moved into the company’s upstream business as a Development Supervisor in the San Juan Basin and then in 2003 moved to the same role for the Gulf of Mexico. In 2005, Dan transferred to Jakarta, Indonesia, where he became the Asset Manager for Offshore Assets for ConocoPhillips Indonesia. He transferred to Alaska in October 2008 to become the Manager of the Cook Inlet. In April 2011 Dan was named Manager, Strategy & Portfolio Management, and in September 2016 he was appointed to his current position.
Dan graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Anchorage United Way and the Alaska Chamber of Commerce.
Dan and his wife, Brenda, live in Anchorage and have three daughters.
