Ben Carlson profile

Ben Carlson is Vice President, Finance and IT for ConocoPhillips Alaska.

Ben joined the company as a member of the corporate tax planning group in 2012, where he advised on a variety of intercompany and third-party cross-border restructurings, and supported capital markets transactions.

In 2015, he moved to Bartlesville, where he led the company’s US international tax and IRS audit teams.   In December 2019, Ben became ConocoPhillips’ Assistant Treasurer, where he led the corporate finance team, and managed relationships with the company’s bank partners and credit rating agencies. Ben assumed his current position in June 2023.

Prior to joining ConocoPhillips, Ben was a Senior Manager with KPMG’s international tax practice in Houston, serving clients in the energy industry on a range of tax planning and tax accounting issues.

Ben received his Bachelor of Science degree in Management Science & Engineering from Stanford University in 2003, and his Masters degree in Accounting from the University of Texas in 2004.  Ben is a Certified Public Accountant registered in the state of Texas.
