Mo Chahal
Vice President, Willow
Mo Chahal is vice president, Willow, ConocoPhillips Alaska.
Mo leads an organization responsible for the execution and delivery of Willow, a multi-billion dollar major capital project in the National Petroleum Reserve of Alaska. In this role, he oversees all aspects of development planning, operational readiness and capital project management.
Originally from the U.K., Mo has worked in a variety of technical and management roles across the U.S. and Europe since 2003. He has held leadership positions in asset management, operations, subsurface development and appraisal, corporate planning and strategy and capital projects, supporting offshore conventional, LNG, onshore unconventional, arctic and EOR assets.
Prior to his current role, Mo had multiple assignments in the Lower 48 business unit including co-leading the integration of Marathon Oil Corporation, Williston & Rockies asset manager and technical lead for the Concho Resources transaction team.
Mo earned a Master of Engineering degree with honors in chemical engineering from Imperial College, London in 2003. He is also a Chartered Engineer in Europe and a Project Management Professional.
