We are committed to respectfully engaging with local stakeholders — those who
influence or may be affected by our business — to understand their values and interests, mitigate the impact of our operations and proposed projects, and support economic and community development opportunities. We prioritize early and frequent engagement with our stakeholders to build trust, garner respect and develop mutually beneficial relationships.
You know your community and constituents best. It’s why we collaborate closely with local partners and leaders, and we communicate early and often. Our goal is to be a respectful neighbor and partner of choice: listening, constructively collaborating and openly communicating every step of the way - whether through community meetings, updates to local governments and tribal councils, or one-on-one conversations with community members.
We gladly accept invitations to participate in community celebrations and the rich cultural traditions of Alaskans. We are grateful to be included in North Slope traditions like the annual Nalukataq (spring whaling festival) and the Trapper School Christmas program. We have enjoyed deepening community connections through our spring break camp for Nuiqsut students and by hosting a farmers’ market in the community.
