ConocoPhillips Alaska

Health & Social Services

Helping improve the quality of life in the communities where we live and work is a fundamental value for ConocoPhillips and our employees. To that end, support for social services organizations comprises approximately one-quarter of the company’s contributions. In 2012 alone the company donated $6.5 million to 344 nonprofit groups in Alaska and our employees donated 7,188 hours helping their communities.

ConocoPhillips Alaska has furthered their commitment to support the new Blood Bank of Alaska facility project currently under construction with a second $1 million donation. This brings the current total contribution of ConocoPhillips to $2 million.
It is estimated that one out of every three Alaskans, or one of their close family members, will require the services of Blood Bank of Alaska at one point in their lives. This new facility will ensure that all of the services are available at any time, under any circumstance, to all Alaskans statewide. ConocoPhillips also supports Blood Bank of Alaska by hosting numerous blood drives at its workplace, and employees have provided more than 1,200 units of life-saving blood with the potential to help as many as 3,500 Alaska patients in need.
