ConocoPhillips Alaska

Health & Social Services

Helping improve the quality of life in the communities where we live and work is a fundamental value for ConocoPhillips and our employees. To that end, support for social services organizations comprises approximately one-quarter of the company’s contributions. In 2014 the company donated $6 million to 400 nonprofit groups in Alaska and our employees donated more than 6,000 hours helping their neighbors throughout Alaska.

ConocoPhillips recognized the increasing number of hungry and homeless individuals and families in our communities and focused on support organizations that address these issues. For example, ConocoPhillips sponsored Bean’s Café, food banks throughout Alaska and the Children’s Lunchbox, all of which share a common goal of feeding Alaska’s hungry. Catholic Social Services operates a variety of programs that provide emergency food and shelter. Additionally, we’ve given more than $300,000 in total contributions to the Kenai Food bank since 1990.

Through the 2014 United Way campaign, ConocoPhillips employees made the single largest food drive donation the Food Bank of Alaska with 86,000 pounds of food and dollars. ConocoPhillips matched that donation with a check for over $86,000.
